Dow Jones & Company, Inc., publisher of The Wall Street
Journal, is seeking a Technical Services Supervisor for our Palo Alto, CA
printing facility.
The Technical Services Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the
supervision of plant wide mechanical, electrical, electronic, hardware,
software, networking and communications equipment and systems necessary
for the printing, packaging and dispatching of DJ print publications.
Will also provide overall IT communications and desktop support for all
departments supervise staff and assist with financial resources. The
Supervisor must employ best performance practices, ensure compliance
with continuous improvement standardized processes/procedures, and provide
effective staff development.
At least two years supervision experience and a Bachelor's degree in
electronics, computer science, or extensive electronic experience are
required. Strong leadership, initiative, decision-making, staff
development, and interpersonal skills are imperative.
Must have a working knowledge of Project and Process management
methodologies. A thorough understanding of today's technology in the
area of computers, network communications, and industrial controls is needed
to succeed in this role.
